Claer Barrett is a multi-award-winning financial journalist, broadcaster and commentator (follow @Claerb on social media). She presents the weekly Financial Times Money Clinic podcast, speaking to listeners about their real-life money dilemmas, and writes a Saturday money column in the Weekend FT.

Veronica A Kan-Dapaah
Trustee
Veronica A Kan-Dapaah is Head of Newsroom Diversity, Global Head of Video, and Executive Editor at the Financial Times. She joined the FT in 2011 from CNBC, where she was an executive producer.

Rita Dhut
Trustee
Rita Dhut has over 28 years of varied investment experience having gained industry recognition and multiple awards during her fund management career for organisations such as M&G Plc and Aviva Investors.

Patrick Jenkins
Trustee
Patrick Jenkins has been Deputy Editor of the Financial Times since January 2020. Before that, he spent 20 years at the FT in a range of roles—from personal finance reporter to financial editor.

Lucy Kellaway
Trustee
Lucy Kellaway spent over three decades as a columnist on the FT before leaving to co-found Now Teach, a charity to encourage older professionals to retrain as teachers in challenging schools. She teaches economics at a school in Tower Hamlets.

Diane Maxwell
Trustee
Diane Maxwell has worked on the theme of financial resilience for over twenty years in roles across banking and regulation, and during her two terms as the Retirement Commissioner for New Zealand.

Finola McDonnell
Trustee
Finola McDonnell is the chief marketing and communications officer at the Financial Times. She started her career in adult literacy and see parallels with financial literacy as a means to have a better and more secure life.

Hannah Sarney
Trustee
Hannah Sarney is the Head of Audience Engagement and an Executive Editor at the Financial Times. She works as an advocate for the future of newsrooms, pushing for innovations that will improve reach, relevance and genuine engagement with broad audiences.

Andreas Utermann
Trustee
Andreas Utermann is a British/German businessman, who was elected to the Board of Directors at Vontobel Holding AG and Bank Vontobel AG in April 2021 and will be proposed as Chairman in April 2022. Andreas was CEO and previously Co-Head of AllianzGI, a global asset manager within Allianz’s asset management division, from 2012 to the end of 2019.

Clare Woodman

Clare Woodman is Head of EMEA and CEO of Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. Clare is a Trustee of the Morgan Stanley International Foundation, the bank’s philanthropic arm, which has been active in developing regional outreach programmes to communities across EMEA for more than 25 years.

Executive director
An accomplished charity leader with over eleven years’ experience spanning service design, project leadership and operations management in a range of non-profit sectors, Aimée joins FT FLIC from her previous role as the Programme Director at Britain’s oldest economics-focused charitable think-tank.

Leyla Boulton
FT liaison
Leyla Boulton is the FT liaison for FLIC, commissioning FT journalism and events to support FLIC’s mission. This part-time role complements her day job as development editor for FT Live and a senior editor at the Financial Times.

Katy Palmer
Programme manager
Supporting FLIC’s delivery, Katy Palmer is a Year Here fellow with 10 years of experience nurturing communities in the creative and charity sectors. She is a Charity Comms Mentor to women working in the third sector and brings film production experience, previously working in a Spanish coding start-up.

Neal Fuller
Head of fundraising
With more than twenty years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector, Neal joins FT FLIC from the NSPCC where, over the last four years, he has held the positions of both principal gifts manager and senior philanthropy manager.

Chantelle Clarke
Head of content
Chantelle joins FLIC as head of content after 12 years teaching and leading humanities departments for secondary schools in inner-city London. As an ambassador for Teach First and Teach for All, she has taken part in collaborative projects in India, Chicago, New York and Toronto.

Rebecca Roden
Education Consultant
With a career spanning education, technology and philanthropy sectors, Rebecca joins as FT FLIC’s education consultant. She holds a MSc in Social Business and remains committed to advisory positions for local and international charities.

Nic is a deputy production editor, making magazines for FT Specialist and writing about video games for several publications by night. He moved into publishing after working for several years as a teacher, both in Japan and in the UK.
Vanessa Brown
Workshop Support Officer
Vanessa is a digital production journalist at the FT and revises stories for publication on FT.com. She joined the newsroom in 2021 as a Maisie Hylton fellow.
James Faz
Marketing Manager
James joined the FT in July 2021 as EMEA marketing manager after working in Olympic sports for six years.
Oliver Ralph
Content Adviser
Oliver is breaking news editor of the FT. Previously, he was the insurance correspondent covering the global insurance industry, wrote for the Lex column, and was the FT‘s UK companies editor. Before joining the newspaper arm, he was editor of the FT‘s Investors Chronicle magazine.
Francesca Nugent-Kelly
Volunteer Manager
Francesca organises and motivates FLIC’s active volunteer network. She is a senior customer success manager at the FT and co-chairs FT Women.

By day, Maxine works as a commissioning editor on the FT‘s Special Reports team.

Kari-Ruth is the visual editor for the FT‘s Edit app and its long-form journalism.

Zaylie also looks after our database and incoming volunteer requests. She is a CRM and project manager within the customer care team at the FT.
Joshua Oliver
Learning Module Producer
Amongst the modules Joshua has helped to produce is FLIC’S How To Understand Crypto. He shares insights from his day job as an FT journalist, specialising in investing and personal finance.
