Maria Luisa Addarii

Monique Sampaney

With 15 years of experience in fundraising and partnerships across Europe, Central America, and West Africa, Maria Luisa joins FT FLIC after working as Fundraising Development Manager at Save the Children. Her career spans charities focused on microcredit, poverty relief, and education, driven by a deep passion for people empowerment and tackling inequality.

In her role as Fundraising Development Manager at Save the Children, she focused on building lasting relationships with mid-value donors, as well as corporate and foundation partners. She’s always valued the process of bringing people closer to a cause and developing long-term connections that go well beyond a single appeal or campaign.

Over the years, Maria Luisa worked with organisations such as Street Child, Bowel Research UK and Denokin, each offering a different perspective on how to address inequality through practical, community-led solutions.

She was drawn to FLIC because she believes financial literacy – much like access to education or healthcare – plays a crucial role in helping people take control of their lives. She’s really pleased to be part of a team working to make that possible
